suppose to be doing my pa report, but end up surfing net... diaoz... i have so much of things that i wanted to do, but none i managed to complete due to complancency... sigh...

anyway i commented to 2 sets of friends this week that i am brainless, i dun think, that's why i am contented with what i have... haha... i like ppl to think of me as brainless, so i wont be blame for my stupid mistakes or actions... anyway, my msn nick said "think"... haha.... i think the more i think, the more vexed i will be... so am i avoiding sth? well, i dun wan to think now thou, maybe i will after i have settled everything...

i realised when i am pissed, i will think of every other reason to justify myself... and blame whoever except me... i will be totally reluctant to think what i have done wrong, instead, put the blame on whoever else....

only when i forced myself to think, or when i have calm down, i realised that i was at fault too...

but the worse thing is, i know that is how i behave, and constantly reminds myself to do the right things before/at the point of/after the argument, but i just could not stop myself...

i think i need to come up with a set of standard operating procedures of what to do when i feel pissed so that i will not repeat my mistakes again and again...

currently too lazy to do so thou...

been reading mypaper ever since i started to work as an intern and recently, 2 columnist gave their feedback on what was published on The Sunday Times, which depicted a young prodigy althete being oppressed by parents of other competitors as they feel that this prodigy has an unfair edge over their child and thus, should not be allowed to take part in the same competition as them as it will only serve to demoralise them blaaah blaaah blaaah... and it was said that they will jeer at the poor prodigy whenever he is in competition and this makes the prodigy very sad and wanted to give up on the sports he is gifted in... feeling super pissed with the parents and sorry for the child... those adults are PURE MEAN!!!

I thought prodigies used to be well respected?? like mozart?? oh nonono... nowadays, prodigies are strange creatures that do not belong to the same race as us and ought to be isolated and despised... wth is that!!! VERY disgusted with these parents...

isn't it the time to teach ur child abt hardwork? edison theory of 1% talent and 99% hardwork? or do you just tell your child, "oh he is more talented so it is ok for you to lose to him since the compeition is unfair from the start"... If u are thinking of doing the latter as u do not believe in edison theory, let me give a real life example...

Singapore did not start off as a prodigy... Without nature resources(which is equivalent to talent), we started off as a normal kid competing with prodigies(ctries with a lot of nature resources) around us... there was a time, when people say singapore wouldnt make it, BUT WE DID... yeah, and we not only did survive, but we are doing better than those talented ctries... we did it because of our ancestors' hardwork and thus being their descendants, we should also work hard like our ancestors did and never give up easily!

so dear those parents, let your child face the prodigy kid, let them take on the challenge and encourage them to work hard to bridge the gap... in fact, they are privileged to encounter someone better than them, so that they will be motivated to continue to work hard... stop giving your child the lame "It is ok for u to lose cos he is a prodigy" excuse ... no matter who your competitor is, give all you can and never give up without putting on a tough fight... that's what that matters most...

so what... I also checked the dictionary in order to know the meaning and the correct pronunciation of his lyrics... what's wrong with that? my cl standards are not that good but i am taking a step to learn... in fact we need to thank him for getting us interested in learning cl... pls look at the whole speech and not the sentence alone... he is recounting and it is only natural and credible to say the country name instead of "i went to a country..." which will sound so wierd...

just watched the golden melodies award... yeah!! Gary Cao won the best singer award, Soda Green won best band and Fang Wen Shan won best lyrics writer!! so happy for them:D also tanya best female singer and best cd making:D happy for her too!!! anyway yang zong wei's singing rocks!
